No More Milestones to Merger for New T-Mobile

The two mobile giants Sprint and T-MOBILE have been approved for merger by Homeland Security and Defense and the US Departments of Justice. Bring on "The New T-Mobile"... we'll have to wait and see what that means, of course!

T-Mobile and Sprint have been approved by US Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Defense to complete their merger deal. The two milestones are now complete.

“We are pleased to achieve both of these important milestones in the journey to build the New T-Mobile,” T-Mobile chief executive John Legere said in a statement. The company has previously said it expects the deal to close in the first half of 2019.

“These approvals assure the strong partnership both companies have with the US government will continue with the new T-Mobile. We look forward to continuing our discussions with the remaining regulatory agencies reviewing our transaction.”
