GE

General Electric was originally founded by genius and astute businessman Thomas Edison.

In modern times the company was led by legendary CEO Jack Welch from 1981 and 2001 and saw stocks rise to around the $50 per share level.

Soon after Welch’s departure however stocks began to lose value. Currently GE stocks are just trading around $7 per share under CEO Larry Culp, who replaced ex-CEO John Flannery.

GE has three main markets it now focuses on: aviation, power and health care.
